I'm Oliver Goggi — a content designer and strategist with over a decade of experience helping organisations better talk to their customers.

I work with words and data to engage audiences and make clients happy. Right now I freelance, working with tech focused companies on products used by millions.

Content strategy

I started out as a journalist — writing, editing, and learning how to get to the point quickly. That background has shaped everything I've done since. Whether I'm writing a two-word button label or a full content strategy, I ask the same question: what does this person actually need to know, and what's the clearest way to say it?

I collaborate with UXR, PDs, engineers and PMs, and I've learned that good content design is about understanding the user's situation, the business's goals and working in the gap between.

Sometimes one word will do. More often it’ll take a little more. Over the years I’ve worked across the whole spectrum of copy and content – writing long-form articles, two-word CTAs, assorted ad copy, teasers, UX and UI text, microcopy, video scripts – all mindful of tone of voice. I’ve commissioned and edited contributor copy from numerous writers. And I’m committed to user-centred, accessible content – finding the right words to engage and support the user, and help them on their journey.

Copywriting & UX Writing

Product development is complex. But getting the user to engage with your final product shouldn’t be. I’ve worked on small microsite builds, huge migration projects, and fun mini-games. I’ve collaborated with researchers, UX designers, product owners and stakeholders on everything from overarching content strategies to microcopy. All data and user-feedback driven.

Content design

I’ve worked extensively on brand-funded content, managing the production of branded content on Yahoo, HuffPost, TechCrunch and Microsoft – collaborating on content partnerships to craft stories that effectively convey a brand message to a target audience, and occasionally win awards. I roll up my sleeves and delve deep into all corners of production, ensuring that every idea delivers across all platforms.

Branded content

Over the years I’ve worked with a number of large organisations managing their content. This has included localisation across 20+ markets, content audits, and migrations to new templates, platforms or CMS. I’ve loads of experience in content operations on larger projects – working with stakeholders to provide a streamlined digital experience for users that meets the client’s goals.
